Awesome shot! My dad was one of the firefighters at this fire. He retired that November from West Columbia FD.

Artist's Description

I made this image on 6-30-2012. A local Cayce recycling facility on Foreman Street caught fire. The City of Cayce, along with 4 or 5 other department fought this fire for 3 to 4 days. They made the area safe around it, and allowed it to burn itself out. It seems like it smoldered for a couple of weeks. We live about a mile away. Ashes from the fire were falling in our yard. This was one HOT fire! And now the new Steel Hands Brewery will be opening on this site in October 2018. The address is 2350 Foreman St., Cayce, SC.
