Description
BCHS at sunset. Brookland-Cayce High School in Cayce, SC. The school was founded in 1931 and completed in 1932. This school has been the heart of this community for generations. My mother and father graduated in 1936 & 37. I graduated in 1967. Our son graduated in 1997 and our daughter in 2006. In 1990, a fire destroyed this main building, except for the front that you see here. The community saved it from the wrecking ball. It was rebuilt, retaining this classic facade. Notice the blue sky reflecting in the windows.
