The Milky Way...as seen from the Congaree National Park near Columbia, SC. I shot this on 8/13/2015, during the Perseid Meteor Shower. Although not bright, there are 6 meteors in this frame...3 on the left near the top of that foreground tree and 3 on the right, around that bright core. This is my first published Milky Way photo. I was at this site on the evenings of 8/12 and 13, during which I saw 8 bright "Fireballs" (before 11:00PM), none of which passed through my frame when the shutter was open...bummer. The 6 in this photo were so dim, I never saw them with my naked-eye.
